This high flow unit is offered as an alternative to UV treatment systems as it does not require any electricity and because of its high flow capacity (up to 2000 litres per hour at 3 bar pressure) it is suitable for whole house applications. Ceramic filtration offers filtration down to 0.9 micron absolute which gives protection against pathogenic bacteria and cysts such as E coli, salamonella typhi, cryptosporidium and giardia. The extremely fine ceramic filters are preceded by a pre-filter stage which removes the majority of the dirt and so protects them for premature blocking.
